Piazza Affari filed a positive session with the banks as positive protagonists. The Ftse Mib index closed at + 1.03% at 24,878 points. Investors do not seem worried by the uncertainties related to the economic outlook with the International Monetary Fund which yesterday gave a scissor cut to the forecast for 2022 of global GDP. Wall Street is moving higher today with the exception of the Nasdaq which pays for the collapse of Netflix after the first historic decline in subscribers.

The banks with Intesa (+ 2.41%) and Unicredit (+ 1.55%) were well-bought today. The best was Banco BPM with + 4.46% at € 3.042. Today the stock of the banking group led by Giuseppe Castagna collected Mediobanca Securities’ promotion to outperform with the new target price of 3.6 euros. According to the experts from piazzetta Cuccia, Banco Bpm could become a target of an extraordinary operation, with the current valuation being “a fairly convincing entry point” for an M&A target.

Among the securities of the Ftse Mib, Leonardo did well today, earning 1.71% at 10.15 euros. According to “La Stampa”, the hypothesis Lorenzo Mariani (formerly Leonardo) as the new managing director refers to the hypothesis of the Leonardo-Fincantieri merger. “The final decision of CDP, the main shareholder of Fincantieri with approximately 71% of the capital, will be taken by tomorrow when the list will be presented”, reported by Equita who confirmed the buy recommendation on Leonardo and the hold one on Fincantieri.
