Piazza Affari is moving in positive territory, in an attempt to rebound after the declines of last week, together with the other international lists. The attention of the operators is directed above all to the macro front where the SME indices for the main economies of the euro zone and the United States are expected. This week at the center of the spotlight is the Fed’s Jackson Hole symposium, scheduled for August 26, which could give important indications regarding the start of tapering.
In this context, the Ftse Mib index marks an increase of 0.7% in the area of 26,110 points. Among the titles of the main basket, it puts gas Stellantis, which with + 2.4%, is at the top of the list, followed by Ferrari with + 1.8%. But Moncler does even better, rising by almost 3 percentage points (+ 2.9%).
Banks also did well with Unicredit, which increased by 1.7%. Mps specified that by continuing the due diligence activities by UniCredit, denying the rumors of a potential capital increase of 3 billion euros. The Bloomberg News indiscretion reported that under consideration by the Treasury there is a capital increase on Mps of up to three billion euros to strengthen its capital strength, thus satisfying UniCredit’s request to make the acquisition neutral for its ratios of capital.
Among the few negative signs, Enel which slipped by 0.6% and Recordati which lost about half a percentage point.
