Pnrr, EU: the request for the second tranche of 21 billion has been received from Italy

Italy submitted to the European Commission the second request for payment of the resources assigned to it as part of the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the heart of Next Generation Eu, for an outlay of 21 billion euros, net of the pre-financing. This was communicated by the Commission.
Italy’s PNRR, the main beneficiary of Next Generation Eu, is financed in total with 68.9 billion euros in transfers and 122.6 billion in loans. Payments are based on performance and conditional on the implementation of the reforms envisaged by the NRP. The second installment provides for the achievement of 45 stages and objectives concerning various reforms in public administration, procurement, tax administration, education and health in the area, as well as investments in broadband and 5G, tourism and culture, hydrogen , urban renewal and digitalization of schools. The Commission will now examine the request and send an evaluation to the Economic and Financial Committee of the Council.
