Porsche presents novelties for all tastes at the Los Angeles Motor Show, obviously for those who can afford to get closer to its brand. In fact, alongside the Taycan with a new electric powertrain and an unprecedented interpretation of the bodywork, it exhibits the maximum expression of the Cayman and a super-refined edition of the Panamera flagship.

Taycan Gts e Sport Turismo Gts

The electrification of the Porsche family continues with the advent of two new versions of the Taycan which, moreover, intertwine. In fact, the powertrain with 589 hp of the new Gts version, which is placed between the 4S and the Turbo, which promises a range of 504 kilometers, also accompanies the debut of the Sport Turismo variant. This Taycan, in essence, is the station wagon version of the brand’s electric and inherits its line from the Cross Turismo, from which it stands out above all for the lowered trim, as well as for the body without the aesthetic customizations of off-road mold. . The Sport Turismo, however, offers the same functionality as the kin, thanks to the load capacity that reaches up to 1,200 liters. The Gts series is the first of the Taycan family that exceeds the limit of 500 kilometers of autonomy, thanks also to the evolution of the management of energy flows that is also extended to the other versions. Regardless of the bodywork, the GTS reaches 250 per hour and crosses the 100 hourly mark in 3 “7. The Taycan Gts and the homonymous Sport Turismo will arrive next spring but are already on sale, respectively, at prices starting at 137,000 and 138,000 euros.

Cayman 718 Gt4 Rs, in road and race format

For forty years, the RS logo has identified lightweight Porsches, with engines that rank at the top of their families in terms of power and solutions that make them effective both on the road and on the track. The new Cayman 718 Gt4 Rs is also powered by a 4-liter flat-six not supercharged with 500 hp and a torque of 450 Nm combined with the dual-clutch transmission with seven gears, it reaches 315 per hour, it reaches 100 times in 3 ”4 and boasts a weight / power ratio of 2.83 kg / hp, thanks to a mass of 1,415 kg. This value is the result of a substantial lightening work, obtained both by reducing the weight of some non-structural components and using other ultra-light ones, and by using carbon fiber-reinforced plastic for some parts of the bodywork. The latter stands out for its specific aerodynamic appendages, in particular the large rear spoiler, and the presence of larger air intakes to allow the engine to breathe better. The Rs care also affected the braking system and the trim, now connected to the bodywork through rigorous ball joints, with specific adjustments. On request there is the Weissach package, made up of features that enhance the dynamism of the Cayman Gt4 Rs. A personality that immediately made it possible to derive the ready-to-run Clubsport version, which will hit the track next year. The top-of-the-range Cayman is on sale for 147,000 euros and will be available from next March.
