The Milan stock exchange is moving in positive territory, together with the other lists of the Old Continent, in the aftermath of the accommodating and unsurprising announcement of the ECB and awaiting the publication of the SME indices on private sector activities. “Communication has changed a bit but in essence the ECB remains very accommodating, putting a limit to any rumors and speculations on tapering”, commented Carsten Brzeski, global head of macro at ING.
In this context, the Ftse Mib index marks an increase of 0.7% shortly after the start, continuing the increases of the past few days and returning to a whisker of the 25,000 points threshold, in the area of 24,987 points. Among the stocks in the main Piazza Affari basket, Azimut leaps forward with + 2.1%, followed by Tenaris and Ferrari, up 1.8%. Leonardo also did well, advancing by 1.6%, rebounding from yesterday’s declines.
