Qatar Airways number 1 for global connectivity

by admin

Aeronautical newsletter. New independent data from OAG reaffirm Qatar Airways as the number one airline in the world in terms of available seats per kilometer (ASK), offering more global connectivity to its passengers than any other airline. Qatar Airways’ network, with more than 1,000 weekly flights to over 130 destinations and continuously expanding, provided over 2.6 billion available seats per kilometer (ASK) during March 2021, having never stopped flying during the pandemic, and in the summer schedule it plans to operate over 1,200 weekly flights to more than 140 destinations at peak time.

Ryanair, the leading airline in Italy by number of passengers carried, is launching six new routes that will connect Italy with Croatia this summer. Travelers with Ryanair will be able to take advantage of the “Zero Flight Change Surcharge” offer in the event that their plans should change.

The low cost company easyJet will launch flights from Milan Linate to Sicily on 11 June 2021, starting with two daily connections with Catania and Palermo; so this summer easyJet will operate on all Milanese airports, connecting Lombardy with 66 national and European airports. International connections from Linate include those with the airports of Amsterdam, London and Paris. Apart from Linate and the rest of the Lombard airports, tickets for easyJet’s summer connections from Turin, Verona and Bari to Olbia are on sale.

We close with a small company, which deserves some attention for this, as well as for having recently obtained a European recognition: airBaltic announces 4 weekly flights on the Riga-Dubai route, starting September 1st.
