Renault and Dacia on the market with two trailblazers

by admin

Two important innovations because they are aimed at the respective strategies of the two leading brands of the French group led by the Italian Luca de Meo. Electrification, which is a priority for the parent company Renault, which from March 2022 will sell the Megane medium for the first time in an electric version.

The new Megane signed E-Tech also brings an innovative design that adds unprecedented ideas to the known details that will be found on other future electric. An example is the cut of the Full Led front and rear 3D Led light clusters, as well as the inserts in the contrasting color, the retractable handles, the closed front grille and the laser engravings on the lower part of the sides. The shapes are typical of a compact 4.21 meter crossover, but the details make it more personal and dynamic, with the height limited to 1.5 meters and large 18 or 20 inch wheels combined with high efficiency tires.

The car is also the first to bring the new logo renamed “Nouvel ‘R” to the market. The interior is just as special because it stands out from all other Renault. The only dark element that includes the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation matches the 12-inch 4K resolution infotainment vertical display based on Android Automotive OS with integrated Google services and virtual assistant. There are two versions of the Mégane E-Tech with single 130 hp and 218 hp synchronous engine.

LG batteries, on the other hand, are available in 40 and 60 kWh variants and have an energy density of 20% more than those of the Zoe. The autonomy is respectively equal to 300 and 470 km. AC charging manages levels up to 22 kW, while DC systems charge at 130 kW: up to 300 km of autonomy can be recovered in just 30 minutes.

On the other hand, the novelty that Dacia will introduce on the market at the beginning of 2022, complete with a launch version, the Extreme, is in the name of simplicity. This is the Jogger, a model that summarizes several priorities such as the capacity of a station wagon, the versatility of an MPV with an additional seven seats on three rows and the crossover look. It is no coincidence that the model replaces the Lodgy, the Logan MCV and also the Dokker to target a strategic media offer for the Dacia brand to which it dedicates a formula that has made it one of the best sellers in Europe: a lot of substance, but right price, given that the Jogger will start from 15,000 euros and the necessary equipment and a lot of simplicity in terms of the fittings. Other than low cost, Dacia’s new philosophy is now value for money. More than the piece as an end in itself, what matters is what you can get at that price. It is no coincidence that at Dacia they sell 75% of Sandero in the top version which is the Stepway and almost 80% of the Duster in the most complete version. The Jogger in addition to the ambition to reinvent the car for families, the car is light since it weighs 1,200 kg which allows it to be combined with engines of reduced power and consumption such as the 1,000 cc 3-cylinder 110 hp petrol and the 1,000 cc. 100 hp petrol and LPG bifuel to which the first Dacia hybrid will be added in 2023. Two years later in 2025 it will be the fifth element, the Bigster, the SUV that will place itself at the top of the offer among the high-wheeled models that by then will also be able to count on a new generation Duster.
