Goal: 400 thousand units every year

The aim is to transform these plants into the most competitive and best performing electric vehicle production unit in Europe, with 400,000 cars produced each year by 2025.

To support this ambitious industrial project, the Renault group plans to create 700 permanent jobs between 2022 and the end of 2024, with 350 hires at the Maubeuge plant and 350 hires split between Douai and Ruitz. These hires will be part of the initiatives shared with the local employment offices, Pôle Emploi and all the stakeholders in the area.

The Upper France region boasts all the characteristics necessary to become the European reference in terms of know-how and production for the entire value chain of electric vehicles. In collaboration with its research and development departments, the French group will establish partnerships with some universities to set up training devices suitable for the evolution of the automotive market and will contribute to research work.
