The Belgian chemical giant Solvay also focuses on renewable energy and has signed a 10-year physical corporate power purchase agreement (Ppa) with Falck Renewables for the development of a solar project in Puglia. 70% of the electricity produced by the solar plant will benefit four of Solvay’s six Italian plants: Bollate, Ospiate, Livorno and Rosignano, achieving an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of over 15,000 tons.
Cingolani and the Fer2 decree
“On renewables, I think I can say with good certainty that Fer2 will be ready for the summer,” said the Minister of Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani at a hearing in the Chamber’s Environment Committee. The photovoltaic potential in agriculture: EF study

However, it is necessary “to reform and simplify, through a precise overview, the authorization procedures and the development of the transmission infrastructure, in such a way as to unlock and direct related investments”.
An Anev manifesto on wind power
Simplification of the authorization process, review the national guidelines for wind farms, set up a control room at the presidency of the Council, provide for support mechanisms for the sector, set up specific tools for the development of the Ppa Power purchase agreement with the aim to make the wind sector a «powerful economic, industrial and cultural response to the pandemic crisis and the necessary process of decarbonisation of the economy». These are the cornerstones of the Manifesto for the Development of Wind developed by Anev (National Wind Energy Association).
For Anev, wind power is the “good wind of the recovery, understood as the protagonist of the reconversion of the economy in a green key through the development of renewable sources which represents not only one of the EU’s priorities but also an instrument capable of promoting technological innovation, employment and development “.
