Saras, Moratti donates his salary to employees: 1.5 million to thank them for their work during the pandemic

by admin

MILANO – The president of Saras, Massimo Moratti, has decided to allocate his annual remuneration, equal to 1.5 million euros, to the workers of the Sarroch refinery (Cagliari), now on layoffs due to the pandemic. The emolument will be used to compensate for the reduction in salaries.

Moratti addressed a letter to the workers, in which he thanks them for the sacrifices they are making, underlining how they are “of great help in overcoming a difficult period”. “For this reason”, writes the president of Saras, “I take the liberty of making my annual emolument available, which will at least allow you to partially alleviate the burden of layoffs”.

Depending on the category, workers will receive between 300 and 600 euros net per month in their paychecks.

“With the million and a half made available by the president of Saras”, explains Stefano Fais, of the Rsu Filctem Cgil Saras, “in the paycheck you will have the same amount of salary, as if not even one day of layoffs were calculated”.
