Security, an Inail tender of 274 million for investing companies arrives

by admin

Companies that invest in security will be able to benefit from the incentives of the Isi 2021 call, with which Inail makes available 274 million in non-repayable funds. Thus, the total amount allocated by the Institute from the first edition of the call dating back to 2010 reaches 2.7 billion.

Labor Minister Andrea Orlando explains that “after the uncertainty of the last period, work and employment are starting to grow again. We are working to ensure that the restart is in the name of safety. We did this through a decree that provides for a tightening of controls and sanctions, but the main road is that of the qualification of companies, which also involves incentives that help companies make a qualitative leap, starting with the smallest ones, which they have more difficulty in making this transition “.

The new edition of the Inail call, “is part of this strategy, making important resources available and further developing the tutoring role of the Institute in favor of companies, to accompany them in the implementation of the interventions needed for the safety of workplaces », continues Orlando

The 36 thousand projects

The numbers of the projects, as the president of the Institute, Franco Bettoni, wanted to underline, are very important: “The ISI call has supported the realization of about 36 thousand prevention projects and now represents a structured intervention lever, through which our Istituto promotes and encourages the virtuous commitment of companies that choose to focus on safety, not limiting themselves to the interventions imposed by the regulations. In this phase of restarting our economy – adds Bettoni – it is an even more useful and fundamental initiative, because it provides concrete support to many micro, small and medium-sized enterprises still grappling with the consequences of the Covid-19 emergency. at the same time reinforcing the message that the recovery driven by the NRP cannot take place at the expense of the health and safety of workers ”. Investments in training, adds Bettoni, are not only “a legal and moral obligation, but guarantee an important return in economic, social and competitiveness terms of individual companies and of the entire production system”.

The 5 financing axes

The 274 million will be divided into 5 financing axes. The first is the generalist one, which will go to 112.2 million euros, the second is by topic with 40 million for projects to reduce the risk of manual handling of loads. The third concerns asbestos to which 74 million euros are allocated for remediation projects, the fourth is dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the sector of collection, treatment and disposal of waste and recovery and preparation for recycling of materials and in that of remediation and other waste management services: in this case the allocation is 10 million. Finally, the fifth axis is dedicated to agriculture with 37.5 million.
