Sky Italia has signed an experimental agreement with the trade unions that will regulate remote work in the post-emergency phase. The agreement provides for a maximum of 12 days per month that can be worked outside the company, introducing one day per month dedicated to training to be carried out remotely. A sort of “right” to agile work therefore takes shape regardless of the profession performed. For all the other profiles, the faculty of individual workers has been included to decide, in compliance with the social distancing rules currently in force, how many days to work outside the company within the maximum limit established for the various profiles (12 days per month for non-shift workers and for customer care, 8 for shift workers). Additional days a month are recognized for cases of particular hardship.

Together with the agreement on agile work, an agreement was signed that guarantees people who will leave in isopension (the pension slide for the exodus of older workers, which allows them to retire early and which is paid entirely by the company) an income integration system that will guarantee full economic stability until the effective pension is reached.

Yesterday, in the meantime, SKY Italia illustrated to the unions the business transformation plan for the next three years, made indispensable in a highly competitive context in strong technological transformation and towards full digitalization. Undoubtedly a decision also dictated by the outcome of the Serie A TV rights auction, which went to Dazn for the next three years. In the three-year period, a rationalization of the total costs of approximately 300 million is envisaged, costs relating to lower management and production expenses and labor costs. As regards the latter item, the company has quantified the objective of reducing the overall numbers in the three-year period at approximately 25%. To date, Sky has 5,000 direct employees and approximately 6,000 external employees.
