Small World Restores Remittance Service to Cuba After Temporary Suspension

After temporarily suspending its service to Cuba due to a banking incident, remittance agency Small World announced the reestablishment of the transfer service this Monday. The company assured its customers that most of the transfers sent prior to the service interruption have been processed and will arrive at their destination soon. However, there are cases where customers have not yet received their money, with delays attributed to a “banking incident beyond the control of the agency.” Fincimex, the company in charge of processing remittances in Cuba, has not provided any updates on the matter. In the meantime, many Cubans are seeking alternative options to send cash. Two popular options are CaixaBank HomePay and Sendvalu. Small World has promised to complete all pending orders as soon as possible and has temporarily suspended AIS Card payments until the issue is resolved. The company encourages customers to reach out to their customer service team for assistance and assures the public that the issue will be resolved in due time.
