More than three months ahead of the world premiere scheduled at IAA Mobility in September, smart offers a first preview of the design of the new show car, Smart eSuv. The electric SUV will be the first concept of smart Automobile, the new joint venture founded in December 2019 between Mercedes-Benz and Geely Holding Group. The first of the brand’s next generation models will be a real intelligent SUV, which embodies everything that the smart brand has always represented: progressive design, innovation and high technology, combined with 100% battery-electric driving. The SUV will be aimed in particular at young families who are looking for a sustainable vehicle, but want to remain avant-garde urban trend setters.
It is based on the modular SEA platform of Geely (Sustainable Experience Architecture) and offers an innovative design made by the Mercedes-Benz Design Network that makes it immediately recognizable, but with a completely renewed look. The user interface will also feature unique and even whimsical elements. In addition to offering smart products, it is also redefining its approach towards more direct interaction and involvement with the customer based also on a new direct sales model with a unified, transparent and stable pricing system.
