The details of the operation

Rational kitchens, founded in 1963 as a German branch of the Friulian group, produces and markets custom-made kitchens internationally, employing about fifty employees with a turnover of approximately 18 million euros per year.

The buyer, Bravat, is instead a global brand born in 1873 and known throughout Germany for the design and quality of products in the bathroom equipment and accessories sectors. Bravat’s production has grown over the years, including the creation of systems for bathroom and kitchen construction technology.

The choice, the company explains, was motivated by a restructuring of the group’s presence on the German market: the current strategy, through the subsidiary Rational, is deemed no longer effective, due to overlaps in both retail and contract distribution.
