Look on the one hand to industry – Made in Piedmont aerospace is worth 5 billion and has over 350 SMEs – and on the other to scientific dissemination. The Turin Space Festival – Game, Science and Science Fiction – will be staged from 30 September to 3 October and will bring a series of events, open lectures, workshops, workshops and meetings all dedicated to space exploration to four different locations. The protagonists are the big players of the Piedmontese aerospace district, Thales Alenia Space – involved in the construction of housing modules in orbit for the European Space Agency and for NASA – and Altec, the control center of the mission to Mars.

The initiative was born from an idea of Marco Berry and his non-profit organization, Magic for Children, and involved the Politecnico di Torino, which will host events and round tables on the subject, the Aero Club of Collegno, the Planetarium of Settimo Torinese and Green Pea. The chosen formula is that of the widespread, free Festival, open to enthusiasts, experts and families. However, it will be necessary to register and book.

The festival, explains Marco Berry, aims to enhance and make known the industrial excellence of the Turin area. The future Lunar Gateway, a human outpost in lunar orbit, will also be developed here, as recalled by Walter Cugno, vice president of exploration and science at Thales Alenia Space.
