State Street announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Mercatus, active in front and middle office solutions and data management for private market managers. The closing of the transaction, expected in September, is subject to the usual conditions. Financial conditions were not disclosed.
Mercatus is present in the US, UK and India markets and manages more than $ 1 trillion of client capital investing in global private markets. Its client base includes some of the most qualified managers in the private equity, infrastructure, real estate and private debt sectors.
