Already active in Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Poland (Krakow-Katowice section of the A4 motorway), Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Hungary and Switzerland, the interoperable Telepass SAT device (which works via satellite) it can be used to pay tolls for heavy goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes on 3,115 km of Bulgarian motorways starting today, Monday 22 March.

Explains Francesco Maria Cenci, Head of Toll Unit of Telepass: “With the SAT device, today Telepass is able to offer the best electronic toll payment service in Europe in the heavy vehicle segment both in terms of quality offered and geographical coverage; after Poland and Hungary, expansion towards the east continues and the goal in the coming months will be to raise our standards even further and extend our presence to the entire area of ​​the European Union ”.

With this further step, Telepass consolidates its growth internationally, after landing in Germany and the Scandinavian countries in 2019, in Hungary and Switzerland in 2020, reaching a total of over 163,500 km managed and contributing to the simplification of travel. of goods and people within the European road network. By offering a single payment device in 14 countries, Telepass is confirmed as the market leader in Europe in the field of electronic toll services, with 35% market share and more than 10 million devices distributed.
