On April 3, Tesla announced the production and delivery data of electric vehicles in the first quarter, and production and deliveries increased by nearly 70% year-on-year.

In the first quarter of this year, Tesla delivered 310,048 electric vehicles and produced 305,407 vehicles, compared with 184,800 and 180,338 in the same period last year.

Specifically, in the first quarter of this year, Tesla sold a total of 295,324 Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles, while delivering 14,724 Model S luxury electric vehicles and Model X premium SUV electric vehicles.

The improvement in Tesla’s production and delivery figures has largely benefited from the Shanghai Gigafactory. At the same time, Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory continued to maintain its position as Tesla’s global export center in the first quarter of this year. In January and February this year, the Shanghai Gigafactory exported 40,500 vehicles and 33,315 vehicles, respectively; domestic sales were 59,846 vehicles and 56,515 vehicles, respectively.

With the official start of production at Tesla’s Berlin plant in Germany in the first quarter, Tesla’s sales in Europe are expected to continue to rise.

Affected by the shortage of parts and the rising prices of raw materials such as nickel and aluminum due to inflation, Tesla has raised prices three times in a row in the past month. , the cumulative price increase since January has reached 8%.
