Owners of Tesla Cybertruck Complain of Rust and Dullness Issues

Several owners of the highly anticipated Tesla Cybertruck have come forward with complaints about rusting and a rapid loss of shine to their trucks’ bodywork. In response to this, Wes Morrill, the main engineer of the Cybertruck, has stated that simple kitchen products such as Barkeeper’s Friend or Windex can help eliminate these issues. He also mentioned that Citrisurf 77 and a non-abrasive sponge like Scotch Brite can work for the same problem.

While these cleaning methods may provide a temporary solution, there is a concern about the long-term effects on the stainless steel body of the Cybertruck. Using these cleaning products could potentially remove microscopic fragments from the surface, which could lead to damage over time. Morrill advises that if stains develop after only a day or two of exposure to the elements, homeowners should perform this type of cleaning at least once a week as part of surface maintenance.

As Tesla Cybertruck owners continue to grapple with these issues, only time will tell whether these cleaning methods will cause any long-term damage to the unique stainless steel body of the Cybertruck.
