According to another statement issued on the official website of NHTSA on Thursday, Tesla will also recall as many as 119,009 Model S cars assembled since 2014 because of problems with the front rails that may cause the hood to accidentally open. NHTSA said that Tesla found that 2,305 warranties may be related to any of the above two defects, but the company is not aware of any crashes, injuries or deaths related to these two technical defects.
