The 1000 Miglia 2022 is underway: 425 cars and almost 2,000 km of route

On Friday, the longest stage of the Race, after the departure from Rome, the cars will go up towards Ronciglione, then Siena from where, via Pontedera and Cascina, they will travel towards Viareggio and reach Parma and decree the third day closed.

The last day will immediately engage the cars with a series of tests in the Varano de ‘Melegari circuit, to then pass through Salsomaggiore Terme, Stradella, Pavia to reach the Monza racetrack where, in collaboration with MIMO Milano Monza Motor Show, the crews will test their ability with stopwatches and pressure switches on the track that celebrates the centenary of the Formula 1 GP.

Before reaching the Brescia finish line, the competing cars will greet Bergamo in a symbolic anticipation of the twinning that in 2023 will see the two cities united in the Brescia-Bergamo Capital of Culture project.

The cars in the race

There are 425 cars, of which 11 in the Military category, the cars to take off from Brescia. A notable increase (more than 25%) in registrations in the 1000 Miglia Register, an indispensable requirement and guarantee of the highest level of authenticity of the cars in the race, from 1000 Miglia 2021 to today.

Also in the 2022 edition, the vintage cars of the 1000 Miglia will be joined by the electric cars of the 1000 Miglia Green, the modern Supercars of the 1000 Miglia Experience and the Ferrari Tribute specimens, wonderful models of the Prancing Horse.
