The causeway becomes an urban work of art

by admin

The raised Aldo Moro in Genoa will change its appearance, transforming itself into a work of urban art, thanks also to the support of Boero Colori. In fact, the Ligurian paint company sponsored the coloring of the first section of the road that crosses the Ligurian capital. This expressway, which measures 4.6 kilometers meters and develops on two carriageways supported by 210 pillars, was built in 1965 and is a fundamental hub for the connection between the port and the city. The project, called Repicta (from the Latin to repaint), was launched by the Municipality of Genoa and will involve national and international muralists, part of a broader urban regeneration plan in four lots. In view of a maintenance intervention that will concern the causeway, scheduled for next year, the Municipality has decided to start decorating a section that will not be affected by the works, while the second lot is expected in 2022, at the end of the maintenance works. To intervene on the first part was the visual artist Greg Jager. And he did it using Boero colors made with a special anti-algae acrylic wall paint which is also an anti-carbonation protective with high resistance to Co2 diffusion.
