Designed on the EMP2 platform the same as the Peugeot 508 compared to which it is 10 cm longer, up to 4.93 meters with a 2.9 meter wheelbase intended to guarantee more space for rear passengers, the new DS 9 is focused on particular on the exclusive design and the quality of the materials used as well as offering under the hood only electrified plug-in hybrid engines in three different power levels of 225, 250 and 360 hp. On the rear edge of the roof there is also a mention of the legendary Citroën DS of 1955 (to which the brand owes its name), with the cones that housed the direction indicators and now integrate the more discreet clearance lights. The digital-type dashboard has a 12.3-inch display with geometric graphics to which another central 12-inch infotainment is added. DS has also included a selection of interior styles to configure the car in the most specific way.
The so-called “DS Inspirations” which in DS jargon are in fact the preparations are called Bastille, Rivoli, Performance e Opera, but there are also special details such as the clock in the dashboard.
