To welcome guests, thanks to the evening lectures-shows, there will also be superheroes ready to test scientists with their superpowers!

In the two days we will go to the discovery of space and how our Planet works, we will understand which of our actions can have significant consequences for the ecosystem, starting from the ongoing climate changes.

Do not miss the events dedicated to exploring the remote and most inhospitable areas of the Earth, such as the polar bases, where it will be possible to connect with the scientists who are in the research stations. Furthermore, a special exhibition dedicated to the Arctic and Antarctica will be set up to discover life in extreme conditions together. It will be possible to understand what the environmental impact on Earth is by calculating one’s ecological footprint, discovering new eco-friendly materials and how to get rid of single-use plastic. We will talk about the sea and the threat of microplastics with a comic about the adventures of a sea turtle named Carrie.

The Supercomputer could not be missing, a simulation, dynamic, speed game to understand how a supercomputer works and how to program, what are the applications in scientific research and cultural heritage. The children will then be able to transform themselves into “little scientists” and participate in experiments and activities to learn how to recycle properly together with the superheroes of science.

Both days will be enriched by talks and conferences-shows: September 24 will be the turn of “Il Kyoto Fisso! Climate change between science, art and mysticism! ”, Curated by CNR-IIA, in which the climate physicist Antonello Pasini (CNR), an anthropologist and a theater company will reveal the future of the climate on Earth. And, again, again on the 24th, the zoologist Papik Genovesi (ISPRA), the astrophysicist Martina Cardillo (INAF), the biologist Nicoletta Ademollo (CNR) will be the protagonists of “Where no one has ever gone before … but scientists do!”, the adventurous scientific research in the most inaccessible places for the human species with a special connection with Angelo Viola (CNR) from the Svalbard Islands. Saturday 25, however, we start with “The other economy is circular!”, How to avoid waste and make the best use of resources while respecting the environment, with Lucia Muto (ISPRA) and Claudia Brunori (ENEA) with the support of PUT; to follow, in collaboration with Romics, the International Festival of Comics, Animation, Cinema and Games, NET researchers and researchers will take the stage and cosplay of the most powerful heroes on Earth with “The Science of Superheroes”: Marco Gisotti (journalist) together Fabio Chiarello (CNR) and Catalina Curceanu (INFN), Cecilia Silvestri (ISPRA), Michele Munafò (ISPRA) will work alongside mutants, men of steel and invisible women, to discover together how research has inspired comics and how fantasy has inspired scientists.
