De Wave Group is based in Genoa and has offices and operational centers in Italy (Vazzola, Monfalcone, Venice, Sovizzo, Scorzè, Trieste), France (Saint Nazaire), Germany (Papenburg), Poland (Lipno) and Finland (Turku). The headquarters for the Asian and Oceanic area and for the United States are located in Singapore and Miami, respectively.
The presence in various countries of the world allows the group to operate in numerous construction sites on various continents. “Even in this difficult period – he says Giacomo Poggi, CEO of Precetti Far-East, referring to the work on the Pacific Encounter – we were able to organize many containers of materials and coordinate the work of a team of over 200 qualified people from four continents, successfully completing a project of great prestige for us “.
In the Pacific Encounter project, continues Poggi, De Wave operated as the sole contractor and carried out interventions on the ship’s interiors, providing a turnkey service, including all logistical and technical aspects.
La Pacific Encounter
Encounter has been refurbished with new fixed furnishings, upholstery and wall and floor coverings. The existing ceilings were also repainted. The interventions involved over 5 thousand square meters of refurbished areas and more than 3 thousand square meters of wall coverings; finally, 3,500 square meters of artificial grass were installed for the outdoor spaces, 8,000 of fabrics and 10,000 of carpets.
A significant part of the project carried out by the De Wave workers concerned the catering area called The pantry, in which they were installed special catering equipment, including protective glass screens with LED lights and integrated heating lamps, which, explains a note, are part of “the requirements for maintaining the health and well-being of guests and crew”.
