The new Honda Civic hatchback hybrid version exposed with 1.5L hybrid system-IT and traffic

As Honda’s “sacred car”, Civic has always been known for its sportiness. Therefore, in the context of the hybridization of all domestic Honda models, the Civic is still the mainstream power of the 1.5T engine. However, in overseas markets, Civic’s hybrid models have quietly appeared. A few days ago, according to reports, following the release of the new Honda Civic Si,Foreign media recently captured a set of road test spy photos of the new Civic HatchBack hybrid version in Japan.

The exposed photos show that the new car is camouflaged for the front face, side skirts, and rear brackets. It is expected that these places will be adjusted for the previous vehicle’s styling.

For the power part, the new Civic HATCHBACK hybrid version will be equipped with an i-MMD hybrid system composed of a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine and dual motors. The transmission part is matched with E-CVT gearbox.

This power system is close to Lingpai-Hybrid, with a maximum power of 153Ps and a peak torque of 267N·m. Although compared to the 1.5T version, the power has decreased, but the fuel consumption has dropped more significantly. The hybrid version has a comprehensive fuel consumption of about 4.0L.

Currently, there is a Dongfeng Honda HatchBack version on sale in China, but there is no hybrid system. I wonder if Dongfeng Honda will introduce the hybrid Civic at the same time.
