The new MacBook Pro is here, bringing HDMI, MagSafe, SD card slot and notch? !

Apple has introduced the new M1 Pro and M1 Max processors. What do notebooks using these two new processors look like? The answer is the brand new MacBook Pro. The new generation of MacBook Pro comes in 16-inch and 14-inch versions. The former is 16.9mm thick and weighs 2.13kg; while the latter is 15.5mm thick and weighs 1.58kg.

There is no doubt that the most eye-catching thing about the MacBook Pro is its panel. The actual panel size of the 16-inch model is 16.2 inches with a resolution of 3,456 x 2,344 (254 ppi); the actual panel size of the 14-inch model is 14.2 inches with a resolution of 3,024 x 1,964 (254 ppi), both of which use Apple “Liquid Retina XDR” technology, which means that they are all using Mini LED backlight, and have a refresh rate of 120Hz, 1000nits brightness and 1,000,000:1 contrast. But the most surprising thing is that in order to keep the 3.5mm narrow bezel, Apple chose to put the 1080p resolution FaceTime HD camera into a “bang”. Apple emphasized that the position occupied by the bangs will usually be the position of the menu bar, so it will not affect the use of the app.

On the keyboard surface, as previously rumored, Apple removed the unpopular Touch Bar and “zoomed in” the top row of buttons to full size. On both sides of the keyboard is a six-channel system composed of two sets of tweeters and four sets of woofers. The MacBook Pro has built-in 3 sets of “studio-level” microphones.

In the interface part, we finally saw the return of the HDMI interface and SD card reader. Both are located on the right side of the fuselage. There is also a Thunderbolt 4 on the right side. On the left side is the headphone jack and two Thunderbolt. 4 and the new generation of MagSafe 3, can deliver more electricity, but you can still charge through Thunderbolt 4.

Apple claims that the new M1 Pro and M1 Max processors can provide up to twice the CPU computing speed than the previous Core i9; and the internal display part of the M1 Pro is 2.5 faster than the previous generation optional Radeon Pro 5600 And Max is 4 times faster. Whether it is really so powerful, we have to wait for the actual measurement to know. The 14-inch MacBook Pro claims to have 17 hours of video playback time, while the 16-inch is up to 21 hours. Apple has also introduced fast charging technology for the first time, which can charge 50% of the electricity in 30 minutes.

The 14-inch new MacBook Pro is only available in the M1 Pro version, which starts at 14,999 yuan. The 16-inch new MacBook Pro is available in M1 Pro and M1 Max versions. The former starts at 18,999 yuan and the latter is 26,499 yuan. The current official website shows that “14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will be released after approval.”
