Meetings between students and great managers of the industry, but also an online platform to help children between 11 and 26 years of age to enter the world of work more easily. These and (many) other initiatives will be put on track with the XXVI Salone Orientamenti, which opens on Tuesday 16 November (and will last until 18) with a “mixed” formula: in the presence of the cotton warehouses in the ancient port of Genoa and in digital version through the Orientamenti online platform, (https://www.orientamenti.regione.liguria.it).

Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri, will talk about how Designing and building sustainability (November 16, 11.30 am); Stefano Messina, CEO of the Messina group, will talk about port sustainability (16 November, 2.30 pm); Alessandro Profumo, at the helm of Leonardo, will focus on Innovation in action (November 17, 11.30 am); Marco Piuri, CEO of Trenord, will talk about the hydrogen train project (17 November, 9.30 am); Franco Fontana, CEO of Esaote, will explain medical biotech to the students (November 17, 9.30 am); Giammatteo Manghi, CEO of Cisco Italy will project Orientamenti visitors into the digital future (November 18th, 11.30am).

According to the Youth Observatory created by the Toniolo Institute, 81% of young Italians believes that the lack of guidance in schools it represents one of the main critical factors of entry into the world of work. 77.5% have little certainty about their professional future, in line with their French (71.2%), English (68.7%), Spanish (63.3%) and German (60%) peers.
