Peng Huagang said that the central power grid companies effectively ensure that the orderly electricity consumption continues to be cleared. Since the end of September 2021, State Grid and China Southern Power Grid have given full play to the advantages of large power grid resource allocation, and have organized a total of 732 cross-regional and cross-provincial support, with an electricity volume of 5.3 billion kWh.

Guarantee the safe and stable supply of coal

Peng Huagang pointed out that the current international environment and the global energy structure are undergoing profound changes, and my country’s energy security and stable supply is also facing many challenges. Faced with this situation, in the next step, the SASAC will unswervingly do a good job in ensuring energy security, effectively play the role of “stabilizer” and “ballast stone” for energy supply, and make greater contributions to national energy security and economic growth. Provide strong support for quality development.

Central coal enterprises will further implement the requirements of supply-side structural reform. On the one hand, they will focus on expanding increments and improving the concentration and control of high-quality coal resources; Improve the emergency supply guarantee plan, accelerate the release of high-quality coal production capacity, and make every effort to ensure the safe and stable supply of coal. At the same time, continue to play the leading role of large enterprises in stabilizing the market, strictly implement the medium and long-term coal contract system, actively guide the market price to return to a reasonable range, and promote the stable operation of the coal market and the high-quality development of the industry.

Increase investment in clean energy construction

In terms of clean energy, central power generation enterprises will actively implement the national goal of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, increase investment in clean energy construction, increase the proportion of clean energy installed capacity of central enterprises, and continue to play the main role of coal-fired power generation units. Rationally plan the scale of newly installed coal-fired power plants, increase the efficient and clean transformation of existing coal-fired power plants, and improve the safety and environmental protection level of coal-fired power plants. Increase the construction of coal reserve bases, increase the intensity of coal storage, and ensure that the thermal coal inventory is at a reasonable level.

Central petroleum and petrochemical enterprises will continue to increase domestic natural gas production, strengthen key technological innovation, increase investment and development in shale gas fields, and diversify natural gas import sources to effectively fill the gap between supply and demand. Accelerate the improvement of natural gas storage capacity, arrange the planning of gas storage in advance, strengthen the investment construction and operation management of gas storage, improve the natural gas industry chain, and ensure the safety of natural gas supply.

Peng Huagang said that the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission will also continue to promote the central enterprises to do their best to supply coal, power, heating and gas, resolutely fight to win the battle to ensure supply, and actively contribute to the strength of state-owned central enterprises to ensure the people’s warm winter and maintain the stable operation of the national economy.
