MILAN – With the closing of the acquisition from Intesa Sanpaolo of 486 branches and 134 operating points within the Opas on Ubi, Bper updates its organizational model with the creation of four new regional offices. After the transfer of assets on Monday, Bper will increase its regional management from 13 to 17. The new four are in Bergamo, Brescia, Varese and the Marche. 14 area manager figures are established, in addition to the current 35.

The newly established regional offices, as well as the existing ones, refer to the deputy general manager and chief business officer Pierpio Cerfogli, while Stefano Vittorio Kuhn takes on the role of territorial commercial coordinator for Lombardy. The new articulation in Lombardy is: Bergamo regional management (responsible for Luca Gotti), Brescia regional management (responsible for Maurizio Veggio), Varese regional management (responsible for Simone Maci).

These Departments work alongside the Milan Regional Management, already operational, of which Diego Malerba is responsible.

Giuliano Lugli, currently head of the Romagna-Marche Regional Directorate, passes to the helm of the newly established Marche Regional Directorate, based in Ancona, while Paolo Cerruti is entrusted, following the spin-off, with the Romagna Regional Directorate, based in Ravenna.

Stefano Rossetti, deputy managing director of Bper, explains: “The regional offices are the indispensable link between the central structures and the territories. Their role becomes even more significant today, as the purchase of a important branch of the company, which has strategic importance for us not only with regard to market shares, but above all in terms of relations with new customers “.

The objective of the reorganization is “to further focus the network’s activity in a context of full continuity of relations with customers and enhancement of the professionalism of new colleagues, to whom I warmly welcome. I am sure that the regional offices in via of incorporation, as well as all the others that have been operating in Italy for some time, will be able to seize new opportunities by pursuing the model of widespread growth that has always characterized our bank “, he concludes.
