The sector’s requests to the Government in a dossier from ANCMA and IMF

by admin

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Confindustria Ancma (National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories) and FMI (Italian Motorcyclists Federation) met with the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility Alessandro Morelli. The delegations of the two institutional realities, which represent the totality of the offer and demand for motorcycling on the national territory, submitted a shared eleven-page dossier. At the center of the meeting was the promotion of road safety, but also some expected and concrete interventions on the Highway Code for the sector, such as access to the motorway and ring roads for 125cc and electric motorcycles and the defined and structural introduction of the experimental measure concerning the 30% discount for motorcyclists on the amount of the motorway toll. Among the requests of Ancma and Fmi also the introduction of the replacement plate for enduro motorcycles in racing and training, the possibility for motor vehicles to tow trailers, the discipline linked to the use of motor vehicles for emergency medical interventions (motorcycles) ambulances) and the establishment of the motorcycle taxi service, already widespread in some European countries. In a note, ANCMA and IMF underline “the attentive availability of Deputy Minister Morelli and the interest shown in the proposals contained in the dossier, in particular on the subject of security”. A commitment also confirmed by Morelli’s personal attention to the contribution that technology can make in this direction and by the intention of the Deputy Minister himself to soon promote measures regarding smart roads and vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to ITS systems – infrastructure, i.e. devices capable of interacting in real time with infrastructures and other road users.
