What change to implement? “Entrepreneurs must have a vision of the future of their companies – said the president of the small industry of Unione Industriali Napoli, Anna Del Sorbo – that is not limited to the digitization of products and processes, but invests cultural and organizational aspects”.

Technologies and big data

«Businesses – Mattiello emphasized – have the possibility of being predictive and proactive. The enormous availability of data cuts down the timing of forecasts and allows applications such as digital emulators, which test processes before applying them in reality ».

Change of organization

But it is above all necessary to transform the structures of companies. For Paolo Taticchi, we need ‘The Perfect Tempest’. Especially after the pandemic has halved the time horizons for changes to take place from pre-covid expectations. «Innovation is no longer enough. It is necessary to reset, to restart in startup mode, and this is a discourse that applies to the entire universe of companies. Hence the non-deferral of adopting tools for reorganization. Develop new skills within companies but also acquire them from the outside. Overcoming a cultural limit present above all in the South. Companies need to become managerialized. Training is essential. Doubling costs in a company means increasing productivity by 12%, with a huge advantage in terms of added value ».
