The Spanish banking giant BBVA lands in Italy in the retail banking sector. It does not do this by buying one of the various banks for sale, but by launching an ad hoc digital bank for the Italian market. By focusing on the convenience of the service (zero commissions) and on the technology that makes Bbva the European leader in the digital experience: as many as 38 million customers of the group interact with the bank through digital channels, 62% do so through a mobile application.
