Now it is the trade unions and countries where the car workforce is crucial that are making themselves heard, worried about the impact on employment. Already at the end of October, in a survey by the think tank AgitaLab, half of the operators had replied that they believed it unlikely (20%) or sure (32%) that the stop would not be confirmed, while one in five thought that the odds were half and half. Of course, the Committee for Energy Transition (ISCED) has also hypothesized the stop to 2035 in Italy, but it would be news that escaped without everyone’s agreement, which was followed by a statement by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Gilberto Pichetto, in which states that the commitment must be of all countries, that it cannot jeopardize the survival of the auto sector and that therefore the economic and social sustainability of the transition cannot be ignored.

From now on it is plausible that the various chapters, and therefore also the car, are faced with the right tension towards an improvement in emissions, both harmful and climate-altering, but also distinguishing what is possible from what appears to the more unrealistic and ideological.
