Xiaopeng P5 is the third mass-produced model of Xiaopeng Motors, and it is also the world‘s first mass-produced model equipped with lidar. With the optional XPILOT 3.5 intelligent assisted driving system, high-speed NGP can evolve to urban NGP.
Xiaopeng P5 is a pure electric compact car with a length, width and height of 4808/1840/1520mm and a wheelbase of 2768mm. The body of the P5 is designed with a slip-back shape and a hidden door handle. The drag coefficient Cd reaches 0.223.
In terms of interior, the P5 cockpit of Xiaopeng Motors adopts an enveloping design, with a full LCD instrument size of 12.3 inches, coupled with a 15.6-inch vertical central control large screen, creating a good sense of technology.
It’s worth mentioning that based on this screen,The P5 is also equipped for the first time with an interactive cockpit based on the Xmart OS 3.0 system. The hardware is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip. The performance computing power is three times that of the previous generation, and it can support powerful in-vehicle mobile interconnection and communication capabilities.
At the level of autonomous driving that many consumers care about,Xiaopeng P5 is equipped with 2 lidars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, 5 millimeter wave radars, 13 high-sensitivity cameras, and a set of sub-meter high-precision positioning unit (GNSS navigation system + IMU inertial measurement unit).
It can also be the world‘s first mass-produced smart car with urban NGP function through the optional XPILOT 3.5 intelligent assisted driving system. The scope of application of NGP will also be expanded from high-speed/expressway to urban roads, and the high-speed NGP- L, VPA-L memory parking, ACC-L, LCC-L and other functions in cross-floor parking lots.
For the power part, the entire Xpeng Motors P5 series is equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 155kW and a peak torque of 310N·m.
According to different models, the car’s cruising range has three versions to choose from.They are models with a battery capacity of 55.9kWh (lithium iron phosphate battery), NEDC range of 460km; models with a battery capacity of 66.2kWh (ternary lithium battery), NEDC range of 550km; battery capacity 71.4KWh (ternary Lithium battery), NEDC has a cruising range of 600km.
