According to news from the State Administration for Market Regulation on June 26, a few days ago,TeslaAutomotive (Beijing) Co., Ltd.,Tesla(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products” and the “Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products”, and decided to recall the following vehicles from today.
One,TeslaAutomotive (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
Part of the imported Model 3 electric vehicles produced between January 12, 2019 and November 27, 2019 were recalled, a total of 35,665 units.
2. Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
Recall some domestic Model 3 electric vehicles produced from December 19, 2019 to June 7, 2021, a total of 211,256; some domestic Model Y electric vehicles produced from January 1, 2021 to June 7, 2021 , A total of 38,599 vehicles.
Vehicles within the scope of this recall may cause the driver to incorrectly activate the active cruise function in the following situations due to the active cruise control system problem: When the vehicle is in D gear, the driver again pulls the right control lever to try to switch gears; When making a sharp turn, the driver accidentally touches and turns the right control lever and waits. After the active cruise control is activated by mistake, if the cruise speed set by the vehicle is not the current speed, and the current speed is lower than the set speed, the vehicle will accelerate to the set speed, and a sudden increase in vehicle speed will occur, which will affect the driver’s expectations. It may lead to misjudgment of vehicle control and, in extreme cases, the vehicle may collide, posing safety hazards.
Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will use OTA technology to upgrade the active cruise control software for vehicles within the scope of the recall for free, and users can complete the software upgrade without going to the store; For vehicles that cannot be recalled through OTA technology, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will contact relevant users through the Tesla Service Center to upgrade the vehicles for free. Control software to eliminate safety hazards.
This recall activity was carried out when the State Administration for Market Regulation initiated a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. decided to take recall measures to eliminate potential safety hazards.
