Transforming Tim according to the guidelines drawn up by the new plan that will be presented on 7 July but also by leveraging on improving the quality of customer service, on a new image that also speaks to the younger generations and on an ever-increasing attention to sustainability. These are the messages that the group’s CEO, Pietro Labriola, wanted to point out to the managers of the telephone company in a meeting after the presentation of the first quarter results.

Precisely the accounts as at 31 March, which according to Labriola show “a rigorous attention to the numbers, necessary to give credibility to what we do” and to obtain the fundamental trust “to create an ecosystem favorable to the Plan”, are “the starting point for design the new Tim ».

The quarterly report which – despite a drop in revenues shows a recovery in EBITDA – reveals “positive signs” such as those coming from Brazil and some improving trends, “does not yet express” the value of the group, which may “fully emerge from the Plan that provides for the focus on four distinct businesses “: the Network, the Consumer with Small & Medium business, the Enterprise and Brazil.

On this front, Labriola and his team are working to “define perimeters, markets and objectives” of the four pillars on which the company’s transformation will be based, but also on some fundamental projects to support it, such as a new image, great attention to costs to be rationalized, avoiding duplication of activities, and new ESG targets.

“We have begun the transformation of Tim, we must go forward with confidence because the results will arrive over time and we will begin to see them already in the coming months”, concluded the CEO of the telephone group.
