Toyota boycotts electric cars, Mercedes-Benz and BMW give up on full electrification!Li Nan: The stupidity of Japan and Europe–Fast Technology–Technology changes the future

Toyota, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz are making headlines in the global automotive industry as they take a stand against the full electrification of vehicles. In a recent report by Kuai Technology on March 4, it was revealed that these major car companies are at odds over the future of electric vehicles.

Toyota’s President, Akio Toyoda, has been vocal about his skepticism towards electric cars, stating that “electric cars have no future.” Similarly, BMW has decided to postpone its full electrification schedule and has reiterated its commitment to the internal combustion engine. Adding to this wave of dissent, Mercedes-Benz announced that they will continue to launch new internal combustion engine models over the next ten years and have no plans to fully switch to electric vehicle sales in major markets before 2030.

Li Nan, a prominent figure in the industry, expressed his concerns about the decisions made by European and Japanese car manufacturers. He likened Mercedes-Benz and BMW to Nokia and Ericsson during the era of smartphone transformation, suggesting that they may be making a costly mistake by not fully embracing electric vehicles. As for Toyota, he compared them to Sharp during the smartphone transformation era, implying that they may be missing out on the opportunity to lead in the electric car market.

Despite these reservations, Li Nan pointed out that these companies should not underestimate the presence of Tesla in the market. He emphasized that history may not repeat itself, but there are valuable lessons to learn from the past.

What are your thoughts on Toyota, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz’s decisions regarding electric vehicles? As the industry continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how these companies will navigate the changing landscape of automotive technology.
