This is the first concrete act of the Polo wanted by the Government with the DL Sostegni and dedicated to sustainable mobility at 360 degrees. With an initial budget of 20 million and the coordination of the Polytechnic of Turin, the Polo, together with Cim 4.0, the Competence Center focused on innovative manufacturing, represent the first nucleus of the future Citadel of mobility – Mtc, Manufacturing and Technology Center – wanted by industrial world, region and university system.

The initiative, explains the rector of the Polytechnic of Turin Guido Saracco, enhances the expertise of Cim 4.0 and takes a further step forward, accelerating the product innovation processes in the heart of the Piedmontese automotive district, where over 30% of the Italian companies. “The challenge is to expand this model – adds Saracco – towards aerospace and the technological transition in general”. The training activities represent the first nucleus of the future Mtc that will be realized in the Tne spaces of Mirafiori, close to the headquarters of the Poli which hosts the Engineering of car design.

The first 3,300 square meters of space that will be recovered will be allocated to future classrooms, alongside the headquarters of the interdepartmental centers and laboratories reserved for companies and researchers. The challenge is to build an ecosystem of sustainable mobility with a hybrid model of training, didactic and experiential, in smart mode, with one day in attendance per week and assessment and evaluation paths. The course, lasting 300 hours, is certified by the Politecnico di Torino with its Master’s School.
