In July, US new home sales rose 1%, doing better than estimates. Analysts had forecast a decline of 2.7%, after the drop in June, equal to -6.6%. The number of new homes sold was 708,000 units last month. The median price rose to $ 380,500 from last year’s $ 329,800.
