USA: consumption expenses + 0.4%, personal income + 0.3% in August

In August, US consumer spending rose by 0.4%, accelerating the pace from the previous + 0.2%. On a real basis, however, consumer spending increased by 0.1%, less than the + 0.2% estimated by the analyst consensus and at the same pace as in July. Personal income advanced by 0.3%, as expected, better than the previous + 0.2%.
