Vegetable gardens, bikes and hi-tech systems: this is how Comerio Ercole wins the green challenge

Plants that save on energy use. And then innovations that make it possible to recover used tires, bicycles provided to employees, a zero-kilometer vegetable garden.

These are some of the projects thanks to which Comerio Ercole enters the ranking of the top 100 Italian companies for sustainability, also conquering the absolute first place in the category of companies up to 250 million euros.

“And for an SME that has a turnover of 70 million like ours – explains the president Riccardo Comerio – it is truly an honor to have won the comparison with much more structured realities, which often have sufficient tonnage to dedicate specific resources to the issue”.

This is the first edition of the Sustainability Award promoted by Credit Suisse and the KON Group. The companies identified underwent an independent assessment of the two technical partners: the first based on the ESG rating model developed by ALTIS, Alta Scuola Impresa and Società Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the second based on the Reprisk methodology.

The Award is thus reserved for Italian companies that have distinguished themselves in the launch and implementation of sustainable and inclusive development paths, with the aim of generating value for stakeholders and for the community.
