The second largest automotive group in the world, Volkswagen, and the first world supplier, the German Bosch, after a pact on batteries announced in recent days, today announced the agreement for a vast partnership on the development of autonomous driving systems, with the aim (still to be verified) of a market launch from 2023. Volkswagen’s software subsidiary, Cariad, will develop with Bosch “features that will allow drivers to temporarily take their hands off the wheel”, for Volkswagen models, but which will be accessible also to other producers and customers of the supplier, the two German groups explained in a press release.
