Who to vote for next election Musk announces historic decision | Twitter | US election | Republican

[Epoch Times, May 18, 2022](Epoch Times reporter Zhang Ting comprehensive report) The world‘s richest man, Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) announced Monday (May 16) that he will not be elected in previous elections. After Zhongdu strongly supported the Democratic Party, he will vote for the Republican Party for the first time in the next election.

Musk made the announcement via video on Monday (May 16) at the Miami tech conference.

He said that while he classifies himself as a moderate, neither a Republican nor a Democrat, he has historically voted Democrat as if he might never vote Republican. But “in this election now, I will.”

The world‘s richest man did not clarify whether he was referring to the 2024 US presidential election or this November’s midterm elections.

The audience at the meeting responded to the CEO’s remarks with laughter and applause.

“The problem is that Democrats are over-controlled by unions, by trial lawyers — especially class action lawyers —” Musk explained.

He also said that in general, if you see something happening on the Democratic side that is not in the interest of the people, it’s because of the unions — which are just another form of monopoly — and the trial lawyers.

Musk also stressed that he does not consider himself “right wing” and considers himself a “moderate.”

Musk assured that if he does buy Twitter, it won’t be a “right-wing takeover that people on the left might fear,” and he plans to make it a “moderate-wing takeover.”

Musk’s acquisition of Twitter has been making headlines over the past few weeks. The tech giant said he would like to see more freedom of speech on the platform and make greater efforts to balance its perceived “extreme left bias.”

While discussing his concerns about potential political bias in Twitter’s algorithm on Monday, Musk said, “The reality is that Twitter has a very far-left bias on this.”

Musk has said that if he succeeds in buying the Twitter platform, he will unblock the account of former President Trump, which has made him many enemies within the Democratic Party. He stressed in an interview with the Financial Times on Tuesday that Twitter was wrong to block Trump.

While discussing the importance of free speech at the conference, Musk said, “I get slammed by the media a lot. It’s okay, I don’t care. Do it twice, and I don’t care either.”

“It shows that despite my resources, I don’t actually have the power to stop the media from bashing me,” he added. “And that’s a good thing.”
