At the Windows conference held at the end of last month, a big surprise that Microsoft brought was the completely innovative Microsoft Store experience. The company has relaxed the restrictions on applications that can be submitted to the Windows 11 application store. With Windows 10, the Microsoft Store has become more user-friendly and developer-friendly. For users, the store is ushering in a major redesign, making it easier to download large applications and games on the device. Similarly, Microsoft has redesigned the homepage of the store to help you easily find their apps.

As we recently reported, several well-known apps are already available in the new store. For example, OBS Studio and Canva have released their desktop applications in the store. Earlier today, Adobe’s free PDF reader also appeared in the Microsoft Store. What Adobe brings is a full-featured desktop application, not the previous lightweight UWP program. All functions are provided as usual, and Microsoft does not limit the functions of the application.

The Microsoft Store version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a simple migration of the applications already on the company’s website. It is free and can handle opening multiple large files. You can also use the built-in controls of the application or the ink function of Windows 11 to annotate files in this program. If you have already used other Adobe products, you can connect the Acrobat Reader DC obtained in the store to the company’s storage cloud at any time, and synchronize your activities.

Microsoft’s renewed attention to the Windows Store has been welcomed by developers, especially the authors of traditional Win32 programs also have the opportunity to make their works appear in the operating system. In addition to Adobe, Zoom, OBS Studio, Canva, TikTok and the web application ClimChamp also appeared in the Microsoft Store. Canva confirmed that their desktop application will be available for download when Windows 11 launches. On the other hand, ClimChamp’s web application is now available for everyone to use.

It is expected that Windows 11 will be launched in October, but it is not expected to have a wider promotion until early next year. Fortunately, Microsoft has confirmed that the new store will not be exclusive to Windows 11, and these applications will also reach Windows 10 users later this year.
