Launched as prototypes at the last EICMA before the pandemic, two new electric scooters proposed by the Italian company Wow arrive on the market. The two models are specifically the 774 and 775 and as the company underlines, they put a refined design on the plate that is combined with autonomy, performance and safety.
The two scooters share an electric motor with toothed belt drive powered by two removable lithium-ion batteries to facilitate recharging. The most powerful model is the 775 which offers a power of 5 kW that allow it to reach 85 km / h. It drops to 4 Kw for 45 km / h for the 774, and thanks to this feature it can also be driven by 14-year-olds.

The battery pack adopted by the two models is also different: the 774 offers a 32Ah and 2.3 kWh “Standard” version while the 775 is powered by a 42Ah / 3.0 kWh pack called “Plus”. However, this higher performing battery pack is also available on request for the 774 model. The declared range is 110 km for the 774 and 85 km for the 775, considering both with the “Plus” battery pack mounted. For a full charge, Wow estimates it takes about 5 hours.
Safety is guaranteed by 16 ”wheels with 100/80 tires at the front and 120/80 at the rear that are braked by a hydraulic system with 2 220 mm discs and CBS combined braking (only on the 775 model). Like many modern day electric scooters, three driving modes are offered: Eco, City and Sport. The first is the one that has the least impact on battery life, while with City you reach a maximum peak of 75 km / h and you get a smoother delivery. To make the most of the power of the scooter and thus reach the maximum speed, you can opt for the Sport mode. There is also a reverse gear to be able to maneuver effortlessly.
The Wow electric scooters will initially be available in over 40 national dealers in the Italy2Volt network in six color variants – red, electric blue, petrol green, white, gray and anthracite. The list price is 4,250 euros for the 774 with a 32Ah Standard battery which drops to 2,857 euros with a 40% incentive and scrapping. The 775 is offered at a list price of € 4,990 which, using the scrapping incentive, can be bought at € 3,354.
