The 58th Golden Horse Awards Ceremony was held on the evening of November 27, with 6 highlights at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taiwan. Ren Xia, director of the film “Youth” that was banned in Hong Kong, said that the future of Asian films lies in Taiwan.

“Liberty Times” counted, this year’s Golden Horse Awards was hosted by Lin Baihong alone, and he also served as the opening performer. Lin Baihong predicted that there will be a surprise performance, “Anyone who likes movies will resonate.”

The other five highlights are that Zhang Qingfang and other golden songs will sing afterwards; Li Ang will partner Huang Jianye as the guest of awards; Long Shaohua, who died suddenly this year, will compete for the best male match. The two highlights of the finale, of course, are the actor and the queen. This year’s competition is extremely fierce.

The five players competing for the actor are: Ke Zhendong, Zhang Zhen, Qiu Ze, Wu Zhenyu and Zheng Renshuo; in the battle for the queen, Lin Jiaxin and Jia Jingwen.

In addition, Hong Kong films shined on the shortlist this year. “Muddy Water Rafting” directed by Li Junshuo and starring Wu Zhenyu as the producer has been shortlisted for 12 awards.

The Hong Kong film shortlisted for the best documentary is the “Revolution of the Times” with a total length of about 2 hours in the background of Anti-Send.

“Youth” directed by Ren Xia and Lin Sen competed for the Best New Director and Best Editing Awards.

“Youth” was unable to be released in Hong Kong because of the return of the background. Director Ren Xia said at the Golden Horse Awards finalist reception on the evening of November 26, “The future of Asian films lies in Taiwan. Because of the freedom, outstanding free talents, commercial films and other genres, Taiwanese films are full of hope.”
