Acea app for ten thousand electric recharging points throughout Italy

ROMA – After the “home” start last December of project for the installation of the columns for electric vehicles in the capital, ACEA is ready to extend the business of recharging services throughout the national territory. An expansion made possible by the launch of the “Acea e-mobility” app which allows electric vehicles to be recharged at over ten thousand authorized points in Italy, thanks to the interoperability agreements initiated with other operators in the sector. An easy and intuitive application for mobile devices, developed ad hoc to offer customers a tool with which to manage all phases of the recharge service: from the location of the active columns available, to the booking (free until 31 December), to the charging your electric vehicle or plug-in, up to monitoring the charging progress and managing payments (credit-debit cards, prepaid cards or Apple Pay). The Acea e-mobility card will also be available to take advantage of other related services and the possibility of requesting three different wallbox models from Acea Energia for recharging vehicles at one’s home.

“The entry into the business of recharging services dedicated to electric mobility – underlined Giuseppe Gola, managing director of the Acea group – is an important step that the company is taking to become one of the main players for e-mobility, not only in Rome, but throughout the national territory. One of the objectives of our industrial plan, in fact, is the development of a services-based company designed to strengthen the relationship with the customer and at the same time enhance the brands of the Acea group. The focus on electric mobility, also with the activation of services with high added value for the citizen, is in line with our strategy which aims to support the energy transition by promoting the development of sustainable mobility, in particular within large centers. urban areas, where the environmental impact is stronger, in line with the objectives of the Green Deal and with the values ​​of the Group “. Finally, it should be noted that the launch of the new services will be accompanied by a communication campaign with a strong visual impact created by the DLV Bbdo agency which will continue until May under the banner of “Electric mobility takes a leap forward”.
