Screenwriter Li Baoqun, director Gong Xiaodong, choreography designer Zhang Wu and other creative teams upgraded and renamed the play “Winter 1948” after two years of continuous polishing. In the plot, the role of the “intruder” Communist Zhao Mengsheng was newly introduced to strengthen the drama conflict, make the story structure more rigorous, the plot development more compact, suspenseful, and full of tension. Not only will it highlight the role of Zhang Yufeng, an underground party member played by Wu Jingan, and the complicated predicament he faced on the eve of the uprising, it will also show in depth his mental journey of leading the deployment to the light without hesitation, making the characters more plump and three-dimensional.
